Preparing for your SailDo you like wearing your Sunday Go To Meeting clothes when everyone else is in flipflops? Even if you do please read all the info below to make sure you are prepared to have the most fun possible on your sail!!
|
Sunset Sails:
We meet on the bridge to 'E' Dock at 6:30 unless otherwise arranged!
What to Wear:
San Francisco Bay1) Wear clothes. Warm clothes. Even on the sunniest days it is still chilly out on the water. It's best to wear layers (and ideally something water and wind proof). Sunglasses, gloves and hats (that don't blow off) are helpful. Please wear non-marking shoes if you have them! If you over-prepare, there's plenty of room down below to stow your extra gear.
Life Jackets are Provided. |
Capt Dan is only sailing out of Berkeley California. Very sorry but there are no Puerto Rico available .1) Wear...as little as possible.
2) SPF 60 minimum! |
What to Bring:
Snacks. Even if you just had dinner it is nice to share a bite with everyone together before we sail out.
Bring anything that's easy to pass around and share (not salad). Here are some ideas: sushi, brownies, cheese and crackers, deli meats, brownies, finger sandwiches, berries and fruit. No pickles or olives! Very bad for the boat.
Drinks. All sails are BYOB. Wine is perfect for sailing. Some folks bring cocktails, juice, soda and/ or sparkling water. Again, think of something that is fun and nice to pass around. We've got plastic wine glasses on board for your use.
Cameras / Phones. I provide use of a waterproof and shockproof camera. The pictures are posted on Facebook for you to download, tag or ignore as you wish :_
